GALLAND, Adolf (1912-1996). German Luftwaffe General, fighter pilot, Ace credited with 104 victories. Earned the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords and Diamond. He had many disagreements with Goring and that relationship deteriorated. Galland was put under house arrest. He was one of the most popular of all German fighter pilots.
